Wishing someone well after they sneezed began thousands of years ago. It started with the Romans but instead they would say “Jupiter preserves you” or ‘Salve” which means good health. Every country has their own way of wishing sneezers wealth. Some people believe that a sneeze causes the soul to escape the body and saying “bless you” stops the devil from claiming the person’s free soul. While others believe the opposite they believe that the evil spirits see sneezing as an opportunity to enter a person’s body. But we mostly say bless you out of habit or courtesy.

Rachel Castillo
This story is about a young women that works in a golf course. When some of the golfers reported a bag that was a banned in a bench. Inside the bag she found 36,000 dollars with an id card. She contacted the police and found out that it belong to a sick old man. Although she did not get a reward for giving the money back she said her reward will come later in a higher level.

What this quote is saying is that before doing something, you should always ask yourself if it is the right thing to do or not. If it is not the right thing to do why would you even do it. For example if your friends tell you to try drugs but you know it is not the right thing to do do not do it.

They obtain, post, and analyze medical, workload, finance, and insurance data. They have to make sure that the information they get is safely recorded into their medical records so that practitioners can make plans and evaluate health care. They work in Hospitals, clinics, insurance companies, physician offices and other medical places.

Reflection
I would like to become a health information specialist. I feel like I would be an easy job that I would enjoy doing. 

Little Miles
This story was about a little boy named Miles that found $20 dollars in a parking lot while having lunch with his mother. At first he thought he would buy a video game with the money he had found but that all change when he a soldier inside the restaurant. The little boy decided then to write the soldier a note and give him the money he found. In that note he wrote “You remind me of my father thank you for your services”.  His father was a solider as well but passed away five weeks after Miles birth all he has of him are pictures. This was a really nice story.

A environmental health specialist is a specialist that uses there knowledge of natural science to protect the environment and human health. They clean up polluted areas, advise policy makers, or work with industry to reduce waste. Like any other scientist they work in laboratories and offices. While others work out doors.

What this quote means is that its better for you to be with good people than with bad. I agree with this quote because if you hang out with the wrong crowd you might get influenced to do something you shouldn't do or get blamed for something you did not do.

            Presidents day is an American holiday, celebrated on the third Monday of February. It was first established in 1885 in honor of George Washington and was called “Washington’s birthday”. It was not until the late 1870’s that it became a federal holiday. By the mid 1980’s countries decided to change the name to “President’s Day to honor every president. Washington and Lincoln still remain the most recognized leaders up to this date. A way to show honor on president’s day is by hanging your American flag out.

History of Basketball

James Naismith was a Canadian American coach and inventor of basketball. He invented this sport in 1891 in Springfield Massachusetts. It contained peach baskets and a soccer style ball. He published 13 rules for the new game. He divided his class of 18 into 2 teams of 9 players each and set about to teach them the basics of his new game. The goal of the game was to throw the basketball, into the fruit baskets nailed to the lower railing of the gym balcony. Every time a point was scored, the game was paused so the janitor could bring out a ladder and retrieve the ball. After a while, the bottoms of the fruit baskets were removed. The first public basketball game was played in Springfield, Massachusetts, on March 11, 1892. One of the differences was that the peach baskets were closed, and balls had to be recovered manually, until a small hole was put in the bottom of the peach basket to poke the ball out using a stick. Only in 1906 were metal hoops, nets and backboards introduced. Moreover, earlier the soccer ball was replaced by a Spalding ball, similar to the one used today.
  

Tana & Christian

Tana was an 80 year old woman that was visiting her husband in a cemetery after two weeks of his death.  While she was there, she was mugged by a man. Later the man was found and sent to jail. The son however, herd the story in the news and felt sorry for the old lady. He decided to meet her and apologized for what his father did.  He also returned the money his dad took from her. $250 dollars that was going to be used for a band trip.  Tana thought what Christian did was very honorable and decided to give Christian the money back. What Christian did was a very nice thing. Instead of him spending it he gave it right back.

Duties & Responsibilities:
A veterinarian is a licensed health professional who is trained to treat diseases and injuries in animals. They help all types of animals from dogs, cats, and birds to horses, sheep, pigs or any zoo animal. A veterinarian in other words is a doctor for animals. Although there job is a bit more difficult because animals cannot talk. They must figure out what is wrong with them with by signs or symptoms of the animal. A veterinarian’s job includes:

• Dress animal wounds
• Carry out surgical operations on animals
• Vaccinate animals against infections
• Treat animals with fractures
• Operate medical equipment used in animal treatment, such as CT-scan and urinalysis

Although i like animals i would not like to become a veterinarian. This is because i am terrified of cats and wouldnt be able to work like that.
