Student Success Statement

“True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what’s right.”
              -Brigham Young

In order to have freedom you must do what is right. For example if you do what is right all the time than your parents have trust on you and will let you go out with friends more than when you do not have there trust.
                         St. Patrick’s Day

·       Patrick was a roman Britain kid that came from a wealth Britain family. At the age of 16 he was kidnapped and became a slave by Irish raiders. He spent six years there working as a shepherd and that during this time he "found God". The Declaration says that God told Patrick to flee to the coast, where a ship would be waiting to take him home. After making his way home, Patrick went on to become a priest.
·       Saint Patrick's Day was made an official Christian feast day in the early 17th century and is observed by the Catholic Church, the Anglican Communion  the Eastern Orthodox Church, and Lutheran Church.

·       On St Patrick's Day it is customary to wear shamrocks and/or green clothing or accessories (the "wearing of the green"). St Patrick is said to have used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagan Irish.

This story is about a football team in a middle school in Michigan. Keith was a young boy with special needs that wanted to join the football team. The team decided that they would let Keith score a touchdown even if it meant them not scoring. The coach had no idea what the team was planning. When the family saw that Keith made a touchdown they were really happy. Keith was the happiest of them all. Justin a kid from  the football team said that it felt good doing that for Keith.

“They’re only truly great who are truly good.”
                -George Chapman

What this statement is saying is that good people are truly great. If you do the right thing and have a good heart more people will look to you and admire how good of a person you are. But if you are bad people might not even like to be around you or talk to you.

         Student Success Statement
Many think that the short term gain will be worth the long term pain, but it isn’t. In addition, using steroids is cheating, and there is nothing worse in the sport than a cheater. Don’t do it.”

   -George Mitchell

What this quote means is that even though cheating might seem like the easy way out, it will come back to you eventually. When athletes use steroids or other drugs and get caught later, they feel worst than before. This is because now you seem like a lier to people.

                             “I won’t cheat”

                                     Dale Murphy

What this quote is saying is to make a pack to yourself that you will not cheat. On test on homework assignments or in anything.
