·       Thanksgiving Thanksgiving Day
Thanksgiving is a national holiday celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. The event called “The first Thanksgiving” was celebrated by the pilgrims in 1621 after their first harvest in the New World. This feast last three days and would include eating deer hunting and doing other fun activities. The pilgrims did not plan on making Thanksgiving a tradition in fact they did not do the feast the following years.  Thanksgiving did not become an annual tradition until 200 years later. In 1789 president George Washington announced the first national Thanksgiving Holiday which took place Thursday November 26. But did not become nationwide until the 19 century. Today Thanksgiving is celebrated every fourth Thursday of November and includes turkey and pumpkin pie.
